Beber a vida num trago, e nesse trago

Todas as sensações que a vida dá

Em todas as suas formas [...]

É com essa frase que se inicia a
peça de teatro que assisti hoje, baseada no texto "Primeiro Fausto" de
Fernando Pessoa, que por sua vez, é baseado no mito original contado
por Goethe. A imutável condição humana, a incapacidade de compreensão
da realidade ou verdade final, é o tema exposto nesse monólogo. Seria
fácil se a vida pudesse ser compreendida num trago, como Fausto almeja
no início da peça.

Porém, parece impossível compreender a vida,
restando apenas vivê-la. Fausto, não se contenta com isso, e vai
afundando cada vez mais em seus devaneios existenciais. Perambulando de
um lado para o outro em cima de um tabuleiro de xadrez até, em última
instância, encontrar-se consigo mesmo. Segurando um espelho, e olhando
a si próprio, questiona o paradoxo fundamental da existência: será o
momento da morte a única forma de explicar a vida? Ou será que a morte
simplesmente nos levará a outras formas de vida, também sem explicação,
e a falta de sentido seja a verdade universal? 

O lirismo
utilizado na peça (foram utilizados os versos originais de Fernando
Pessoa) pode torná-la um pouco mais complexa para a compreensão
imediata, mas traz uma beleza sem igual ao/à expectador/a. Estamos
acostumados com o imediatismo de frases diretas, ou imagens prontas nas
telas de cinema hollywoodianas, que estão matando nossa percepção
crítica e criativa.

Por fim, os efeitos sonoros e visuais em um
telão deram um ar moderno ao mito, que continua sendo o problema
central da filosofia, e por isso dificilmente deixará de parecer atual,
mesmo com o personagem Fausto vestindo roupas típicas do século XVII e
XIX.

Recomendo fortemente que assistam à peça, está em exibição todas
as quartas de agosto e setembro, às 20h, na Cidadela Cultural da Antarctica. Parte do texto de Pessoa pode ser lido aqui.
